I n  T h i s  C h a p t e r :

1.1 Climate Change Overview
1.2 How to Use this Handbook
1.3 Best Practices Summary Charts

This Handbook was developed to document the best practices available in the generation, transmission, distribution and end-use of electricity, and the associated greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions avoided, reduced or offset via these practices. The objective is to apprise developing country utilities and regulators of the GHG emissions implications of power sector activities they are taking under the Energy Partnership Program (EPP) or investments required to meet the future power needs in their countries.
