Renewable energy technologies, such as hydro
(large and small), solar, geothermal, biomass, and wind, can
deliver power with virtually zero emissions. Distributed
generation (smaller generators that produce power locally apart
from centralized grid) also has the potential to significantly
reduce emissions and promote greater cost and network
efficiencies. The Task Force is working to promote investment in
these technologies and address any market and technical
impediments that may prohibit their adoption.
