Biography: 

Carol Mulholland is a principal in the Energy Services Group. She directs the Market Intelligence Practice, which focuses on applying social marketing tools to energy-efficiency programs. Ms. Mulholland has more than 25 years' experience working with the managers of electric utilities to design corporation-wide programs, policies, and training programs and to evaluate energy-efficiency programs.

 

Ms. Mulholland is an expert in evaluating and designing information and education programs. She is the lead trainer for the Association of Energy Services Professionals’ (AESP's) Introduction to Marketing course and teaches several other AESP Institute training courses. Her extensive international experience includes helping Eskom, South Africa's largest electric utility, to design and implement a program that introduced energy-efficient lighting to South Africa and transformed the country’s lighting market in eight years.

 

Before joining Cadmus in 2008, Ms. Mulholland worked for 12 years on energy-efficiency programs and policies in such countries as India, Nepal, the Philippines, Bulgaria, Egypt, and Bangladesh. She also worked on program evaluations for gas and electric utilities throughout the U.S. and worldwide.

 

Ms. Mulholland holds a master's in international economics and international relations from the Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University. She also has a bachelor's in English literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
