The Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF) is a Ministerial-level international climate change initiative that is focused on the development of improved cost-effective technologies for CCS. It also promotes awareness and champions legal, regulatory, financial, and institutional environments conducive to such technologies. The CSLF Secretariat plans to increase stakeholder outreach and engagement to align the CSLF message alongside other voices in the industry.

In order to identify areas of support to increase the Kenya Electricity Generating Company’s (KenGen) generation of electricity from geothermal energy, representatives of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), and U.S. – East Africa Geothermal Partnership (EAGP) will be traveling to Kenya in order to meet with KenGen executive leadership and Geothermal Resource Development teams in Nairobi and Naivasha.
