The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Clean Coal and Carbon Management (OCCCM) released it's Strategic Vision 2020-2024 in August of this year and on September 14, USEA hosted OCCCM to present it to the public. A recording of the presentation and a copy of the document are available here.

The United States Energy Association (USEA) cordially invites you to take part in a collaborative Workshop on Direct Air Capture Technology Needs, co-hosted with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy (DOE-FE) in Washington, DC. The workshop will build upon the recent publication of the National Academies of Science report Negative Emissions Technologies and Reliable Sequestration – A Research Agenda 2019 and is designed to help inform DOE-FE as they finalize a research program plan for direct air capture and other associated carbon removal technologies.

These workshops addresed two topical areas of increasing interest in the region:  1) a refresher course on calculating net transfer capacity; and 2) modeling and simulating the behavior of HVDC back-to-back converter stations.
