Cory Channon

Biography: 

Cory Channon has been a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers since 1986. He completed his apprenticeship at Boilermaker Local 146 in Edmonton, Alberta becoming a Red Seal Journeyman Welder. Cory worked as a business representative with Boilermaker Local 146 for approximately four years before being appointed as International Representative in 2003. Then in 2014 Cory was appointed Assistant to the International President and Assistant Director of Construction Sector Operations (Canada).

During his career Cory has completed the Harvard Trade Union Program and for seven years served as Secretary-Treasurer for the National Maintenance Council of Canada and General Presidents’ Maintenance Committee of Canada. Cory is currently a member of the Canadian Executive Board of the Building & Construction Trades Council of Canada, member of the Pacific Regional Maintenance Council; member of the BC Allied Hydro Council; and member of the Saskatchewan & NWT Allied Council. He has also served in various capacities with other councils and committees representing the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.

Cory represents the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers as a member of the Global CCS Institute.
