Biography: 

Linda Dethman oversees Cadmus’ Program and Marketing Analysis Group within the Energy Services Division.  Ms. Dethman combines a broad range of social science research skills with technical expertise to assess the need for and evaluate the results of programs aimed at sustaining energy and water resources.  Over the past 30 years she has worked with over 200 efficiency programs for a wide variety of utilities and efficiency organizations across the United States and in Asia, where, among other projects, she helped develop India’s appliance efficiency label.  She has assessed programs serving all sectors, helping clients better understand their target audiences and improve the effectiveness of their programs.  She is nationally known for her pioneering work on behavior change.

 

Ms. Dethman’s expertise includes research design and a broad array qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis tools. She routinely is called upon for analytical tasks that require making sense out of diverse data sources, often working with interdisciplinary teams to paint a full picture of program and policy options.  She is an award-winning writer, an accomplished trainer, and an invited speaker at national and international energy efficiency and sustainability conferences.  She is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Washington, where she also received an M.A. in Communications Research.  She received her B.A. from the University of Missouri.
